Smart buoys with sensors and coated test plates to study marine biofouling and the bioelectrochemical potential of different coatings.
Hi, everyone! How are you?
My name is Pedro Trevisan, and I'm doing my Master's with Prof. Dr. Eduardo Galembeck, in the area of Biochemistry, here at the Educational Technology Laboratory (LTE). Here at LTE we have developed a Remote Laboratory, which is a laboratory structure for simple analyses (titration, microscopy, etc.), but all the control of the experiments (and cameras, so you can see what is going on!) is available online straight from your browser, with no need to download any app or program!
My Master's project involved creating a series of YouTube videos where I teach the concepts, how to use and how to replicate each one of the experiments.
It is ideal for teachers and students of High School in the Science fields (Biology, Chemistry, etc.), but anyone may want to use the Remote Laboratory or repeat the experiments!
The videos are being released weekly on the LTE channel, but if you want to access all of them already finished, just go to this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJIlGyGTKUaMjKA22xpGvynU37ohdFh-p
The final part of my project is the collection of information about the videos and the Remote Laboratory itself, and for that I made an opinion questionnaire, and I ask that you answer it to help both my Master's and the science outreach series itself.
The questionnaire is available at this link: https://survey3.ccuec.unicamp.br/index.php/861674?token=6pVajjpn9HwQeyZ&lang=pt-BR
--------------------------------------------------
I ask, please, that you take part both in the video series and also by answering the questionnaire!
If possible, share it with friends, teachers and students, to spread this cool alternative for Science Teaching as widely as possible!
Hugs,
Pedro
